I couldn't wait to make the cards and just finished them up.  The story of my life when I am sick.  I mean to do it but don't.  Sound familiar?  I think it is normal.  I mean I hope it is normal.

With the KIT OF THE MONTH you sign up for a period of 6 months auto ship.  These stamps will NOT be available again until 3 months have passed. So, sign up and get it now. February is too far away!!!!

Going Going...

I can't believe it has been 2 weeks since my last post.  I blame the prednisone for that.  Finally my pneumonia is gone and I just have minor lingering side affects.  So it is on to posting about my passion.

First I want to let you know that the window is closing for becoming a founding coach with my Company.  Fun Stampers Journey is a brand new stamping company that is going to get it right,  Right from the start.  Sign up and for the start up fee of $149.99 you get the terrific start up kit shown here:

I love it all, especially my Grand Caliber machine.  I make bigger cards now and the machine allows 8.5x11 size dies and paper.  Cool!!!!  What a kit!

The $149.99 will only be good while founding membership is offered and by the way this past weekend coach count went up by 14 new coaches.  So it won't be long until we are at our maximum of 500 coaches.  I believe the price will rise to $199.99.  It is not set in stone yet.

So check us out and join our fantastic journey.  I can honestly say the trip we are on as we grow is "Yummy and Delicious!"

Hoo's Missing You

I am still looking for just the right card for my beginners classes and this one might be it.  I would appreciate comments on this please!  Another note is that all supplies here come from the Company that I am affiliated with, Fun Stampers Journey.  See the web site by clicking on this link:  http://funstampersjourney.com/100   I have been promoted to Journey Coach Leader!!!!!!  I am really excited about that!

I took the background stamp, Paper Floral (SS-0064) and stamped it onto Whip Cream card stock (CS-0040).  The ink used was Catalina Splash (IP-0073).  I then added a layer of card stock Catalina Splash (CS-0114).  Next I took a piece of Whip Cream card stock and stamped the Artful Owl (AT-0004) with, yep you guessed it, Catalina Spash ink (IP-0073) and that was it.  I stamped a saying inside the base card.  Hoo's Missing You comes from a stamp set from the August Kit of the Month.  Those stamps are available 3 months after the Kit is issued.  So it will be available soon.  I need to take a minute here and plug the Kit of the Month program.  You have to commit to 6 months of receiving the kits.  Each month you receive enough paper and embellishments to  complete 4 cards. The directions come on easy to read quality glossy paper.  The stamps are so adorable or beautiful!!  I can't brag enough.  You really should look into signing up!!!

Well anyway the card is done. And I think it is pretty cool!  Don't you?

See you soon.

A "Cased" Card

I thought the design of this card was so striking, I couldn't help but "case" it.  The card starts out with an easy base card of Whip Cream (CS-0040).  I then picked one of the beautiful designer papers from the Journey Basics (PP-0003.)  Next I stamped the feather from the stamp set Artful Feathers (AT-0115) onto white card stock using Dark Roast ink (IP-0050), then cut it in half through the middle.  I layered these two pieces onto Dark Roast card stock (CS-0091.)  I then placed them on the card stock using nonFSJ foam squares.

I chose the saying from stamp set Many Wishes (SS-0057) and stamped it using Dark Roast ink (IP-0050.)

See you next time...

Yes, Another Floral Card!

I am back from my bout of pneumonia. It made me incredibly tired and worn out.  It hasn't gone away totally, but I have to ignore it and get a life.  So here I am hoping to make your visit a pleasant one.

This card was inspired by a card that was posted by my upline.  Sara is incredibly talented and I want to steal all her ideas.  This posting and the one that will follow this are both based on her designs.

This card starts out with a base card of Oatmeal Cookie card stock (CS-0023), next layer is Dark Roast ( CS-0091) and the final layer is Whip Cream (CS-0040.)

For the background, I created a mat using a post it note cut to conform to the shape of the cushion on the flower stamp then stamped the background with the Hexagon Print  background stamp (SS-0046) using Oatmeal Cookie ink (IP-0011.)  I love our inks.   I then stamped a saying which came from stamp set Ampersand Notes, SS-0137.

My major image came from stamp set, Floral Notes (SS-0037.)  I really get a lot of use out of this stamp set.  It is no surprise since I love floral stamps.  I stamped it using Black Licorice ink (IP-0041) then colored it using nonFSJ colored pencils.

That finishes today's card.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Until next time...

Just a Little Splat

Here we are with another great stamp set from my adopted Company that was the June Kit of the Month Club selection.  All KOTM stamps are available 3 months after the month they were sponsored.  It is Fly Away (SS-0101).

The ink is Blue Lagoon (IP-0002),  I stamped and fussy cut out two of the hot air balloons.  I also stamped Greetings on the Whip Cream card stock (CS-0041).  Now comes my favorite part.   While on that layer piece I used my favorite accent stamp called Ink Splat (ATS-0108). I really love this stamp!!  For this card, I chose to stamp it twice, using Limeade Splash (IP-0019) and Pineapple Smoothie (IP-0014.)  Simply Yummy and Delicious, as our Beloved President Richard Garay would say.  I then placed my balloons on top of my splats using Journey Foam Squares.

The final touch was mounting my layered piece onto the base card which is Huckleberry Fusion (CS-0035).

I hope you enjoyed this posting.  I know I enjoyed making the card and sharing it with you.

Greeting Bouquet

Today was a strange day.  It was over before I woke up enough to appreciate it.  This pneumonia has a tight hold on me.  I seem to be getting worse.  The doctor gave me permission to go to my 50th High School Reunion which took place over a 3 day period. Friday night was a Pizza party and 70 graduates attended.  We were out til 1 am.  Then Saturday night was the actual reunion and we got home at 1:30am. Hubby and I were so tired we skipped Sunday's festivities.  I think the pneumonia had been getting better until then but I had to stay out late so probably got the pneumonia right back again.  I am having trouble breathing and starting a cough.  I am a little dizzy,  No wisecracks.

This card was actually made last week and I am posting it now.

I started with Whip Cream card stock (CS-0040) as my base card. Then I layered Dark Roast card stock (CS-0091).  Then I took Whip Cream card stock (CS_0040) and used an embossing folder on it.  I used my Watermelon Fusion Ink Pad (IP-0027) and swiped the card.  I die cut some whip Cream card stock (CS-0040) using Journey Circles dies (DI-0037). On the circle I stamped the Flower from the Greeting Bouquet stamp set (SS-0139) using Watermelon Fusion ink (IP-0027). I set it on the embossed layer and decided how much to cut off. Embossed layer was attached to the Dark Roast card stock (CS-0091.)  I stamped the wording from that stamp set onto whip Cream card stock using Dark Roast ink pad (IP-0050.)  This piece that I cut out around the wording was put aside.  Next I used natural Journey Twine (AC-0005) to wrap around the Dark Roast card stock (CS-0091) layered group.   Tie in  a knot on the back. I then created a bow from the remaining twine.  I attached a clear button to the twine,  Now I attached the wording.

I got all of the supplies to do this card from  http://funstampersjourney.com/100  .

I hope you enjoyed looking at this card.  I look forward to doing more postings this week since I have other cards that need to get posted.

Purple is my favorite color

Well I am reviving from my weekend 50th High School Reunion.  We had a terrific time both Friday night and Saturday night.  It was so nice to see old friends.  And I mean old in the nicest way.

So I owe you the other two cards that I made on Friday.  This one is using my favorite color and my favorite insect - the butterfly.  I can never get enough purple in my life.  I just saw on QVC that they had purple cookware. Boy was I tempted but I didn't give in.

Let me get back to the card.  The base card stock is Grape Fusion (CS-0012).I used Pretty Pansy card stock (CS-0029) to cut out and emboss the Tagged Pocket Die (DI-0001).  I then die cut a strip of Whip Cream (CS-0040) and stamped the saying from the stamp set  Gifted Wings ( SS-0040) and cut the card stock to fit in the pocket.  Using the same stamp set, I stamped the jar, colored it, then layered Journey Glaze over the glass part of the image. To complete the look, I stamped the butterfly and placed him over the butterfly in the image.

To complete the card, I added three pearls and the top and made a white bow for the bottom to add balance.

'Til next time...

Another Yummy card!

Yesterday I created 3 cards and I will be posting on here. So let me start with the first one.

Me and my flowers, what are ya gonna do.

I started out creating a background using the Music Sheet stamp (SS-0059) inked in Black Licorice (IP-0041) on Whip Cream card stock (CS-0040.)  Then I stamped my
flower bouquet, stamp set Floral Notes (SS-0037, on another piece of Whip Cream card stock ( CS-0040), using Black Licorice ink (IP-0041.)  I colored the flowers in with non FSJ colored pencils.  After rounding the corners using the Chomper, I mounted that layer on a layer 1/4" larger,  That card stock is Lavender Fusion (CS-0017.)  After mounting those layers onto the background base card, I finished it off with non SFJ black ribbon.

Starting tonight I have my 50th High School Reunion so I will be back posting at the beginning of next week. So see you then!

A Classy Card from the Grand Event

This card is very elegant, IMHO,  You will see in a later post that I cased it and made a similar card.

Isn't that pretty?  I really enjoyed putting all the parts together.  I found making the 4 part bow quite daunting at first but I got 'er done.  Not sure that I will do it again.  Time will tell. LOL!

The first part was to stamp a background.  Stamp set Brocade Print (SS-00016) was chosen and stamped in Pool Play (IP-0051).  It is a very pretty color.  Then, Two pieced circles were run through the Journey Grand machine ( JG- 0001) using the die Journey Circles (DI-0039.)

Both stamps come from stamp set Greeting Bouquet (SS-0139.)  The flower was stamped using Pomegranate Splash (IP-0008) and the greeting was stamped using Dark Roast (IP-0050).  It is such a rich dark chocolate.  I love it.

The natural Journey Twine (AC-0005)was wrapped around the top layer 4 times and tied off in the back. Then the 4 part bow was glued down using small Journey Dots (AC-0083.)  The button comes from Journey Color Buttons II (AC-0098.)  It also was attached using the Journey Dots.  The greeting was then attached using medium Journey Foam Squares (AC-0085.)

The card was layered using card stock that matched the colors used in the top layer.  So there was Pool Play (CS-0092), Pomegranate Splash (CS-0027) and Dark Roast (CS-0091) as the base card.  And viola, the card is beautifully put together and is "Yummy and Delicious" as Richard Garay would say.  Check out his blog for more ideas.  http://richardgaray.com

I hope you enjoyed the journey into making this card. See you at next posting!

September Stamp of the Month (KOTM)

OMG, this has to be the most beautiful flower stamp!!  What pretty cards we got to make.  Here is my case of one of them.

Isn't that pretty? The other stamps in the stamp of the month kit are just as lovely.  Here is the flyer for the stamp of the month. One note is that the stamp set is not available for individual sale until three months after it is the stamp of the month. So buy the kit and get the paper all cut out for you along with the embellishments.  You have to supply the ink, daubers and Journey Glaze.

Enjoy the Yummy and Delicious KOTM's we have to offer.  See My shopping cart at Fun Stampers Journey

Trades at Grand Event 2014

This posting is going to be about the trades that I did for the Grand Event.

These are not in chronological order:

The above card was a card I did for the "Foo Foo" trade. I took whip cream card stock and covered it with Tulle that I purchased at Michaels.  I applied Journey Tape to the back of the card stock and taped the tulle to it. Using the Bombshell stamp set, I stamped the dress, fussy cut it then covered it with Journey Glaze, then sprinkled it with Journey Dust,  Once that was dry, I used foam squares to pop it up on the card stock.  I added wording and the added the ribbon and the butterfly from Butterfly Prints stamp set. The final step was adding the 3 pearls in the corner.

This was for the Christmas pocket die trade.  The major work was to create two pockets by running the red then the green card stock through the Grand Calibre.  Once that was done and the pocket created, I stamped the candle scene on white card stock. I colored it with Copic Markers. I then stamped the Christmas tree on the Forest Green card stock using forest green ink.  I sprinkled gold Journey dust on the inked image and heated up the image.  The back card consisted of various embellishments that I got at Michaels.

This is my favorite trade. So simple!  I took Whip Cream card stock and stamped the holly stamp usinf forest green ink.  I sprinkled clear embossing powder on it then heated it. I added red Copic Marker to the berries.

I then took the red card stock and the die from Spellbinder die Fancy Tags # .

I then attached the white card stock to the red label.  I took red ribbon and attached it through the corner opening in the die cut to finish off the tag.

Back from California

We came back Sunday after quite a morning.  We left the Hotel at 6 am for a 9:25 flight.  I would rather wait at the airport.  We rented a Hyundai Sonata which was a very nice car to drive.  There was a portable GPS system on the dashboard, top of the line.  Innocently, we are traveling down the highway and we finally get to the exit that is going to bring us right into the airport. We were so early.  Wait - what's this?  We can't get off the exit because there is a bad accident.  I wasn't worried because we had a GPS, right?  Well instead of getting us on the route that we needed, it toook us to the back streets of LA to get us to LAX.  Pretty shady streets.  Surprisingly, we made it in one piece and were still relatively early.  All is well that ends well. We finally got on the plane and got home in one piece.  I made up for all the sleeping I didn't do in LA, but here I am, posting to let you know what is going on.  The next posting will tell you how the Grand Event (GE) went.  It was terrific.  Can't wait for the next one in June.

Waiting for my Trip to California

Well, in two days I will be in Sunny California.  It is so exciting. This is the first convention my Company, Fun Stampers Journey, is having.  It is the initial rollout of our products.  I am so excited about this.  My dear friend Andrea is accompanying me on this venture and I thank her from the botttom of my heart.

We have one day to ourselves, then it is three days of glorious wonderful fun!!

I will post pictures of what we did while we were there.  In the meantime, I have been busy making what is called "trades" to exchange with fellow coaches. The purpose of that is to expand your horizon and expose you to other stampers' creativity.  I can hardly wait to see what I get in exchange.   After the function, I will post the trades that I made.  They are really cool!

PS  After the rollout on 9/8/14, visit my site for the new catalog and information on becoming a Journey Coach yourself!

Another prior card

This card I think is my prettiest.  Let me know what you think, please.

I used Copics on the flower but put them away before I realized that I would be recreating the card on my blog.  I will be more careful with cards that I design going forward from today.  Once again, this is all Fun Stampers Journey Company items.  The background is called Script and in my opinion, very elegant.  The flower is from Summer Garden and the wording is from Greet and Shout.

AS I promised

Here is a card that I did using the Pocket Card Die.  It is a delight to use.  I actually used it twice for this card. Once with the Whip Cream card stock then again with the Lavender Fusion card stock. Both the die and the card stock are from Fun Stampers Journey.

The final product will have a candy bar in the back pocket!  The stamp set shown is "Summer Garden".  The wording is from Greet & Shout stamp set - great sayings and I love the font!   I used Copics to color then I painted the leaves with Journey glaze and did some of the flower petals.  In the center petals, after applying the glaze, I added Journey Sparkle Dust.  I do have to note here that the quality of these products are by far top quality.  The ink is a hybrid ink which is a cross between dye and pigment ink. It is very juicy and dries as fast as dye ink.  All inks match the card stock and is bright and vibrant!

I'm Back

After a very long time, I am back stamping and going strong, I might add.  I see you are scratching your head wondering what happened.

When The Angel Company (TAC) folded I was crushed. It was another relationship that I lost and I just froze. My muze disappeared and I eventually gave the majority of my stamps and accessories away.  That was three years ago.

Well, I am back and I think I am a new and approved version of my former self.  What happened?  Fun Stampers Journey happened.  It is a brand new company started by a man named Richard Garay.  Richard has had over 20 years experience in the stampinng world and has come out with a direct sales company that is making a darned good attempt fixing all that is wrong with these types of companies.  His demoers are called Journey Coaches. I am one.  The first 500 coaches who sign up will be considered founding coaches and will be offered exclusive items from time to time. As we speak, I believe we are up to 158.  Please check out the site at  www.funstampersjourney.com/100 The 100 is my personal number.

The Company began officially on June 3, 2014.  Products are being introduced approximately every two weeks until the full rollout in September.  I am pretty sure I am going to the event that will introduce all of the products that will currently be available. In the meantime, we are selling a very limited amount of product.  I intend to post samples of what is available.  I am sure you will be as excited as I when you see what we have to offer.
